Today our staff team had a day together to work through what our priorities should be for the rest of the year. It was a great time, and an encouraging experience of unity in how God is speaking to us at the moment. We agreed that in the next six months our main goal is to develop and communicate the building blocks of our future vision at St. Mark’s. Not to figure everything out, but to lay the basis for this task in the coming year. This means having proper and in-depth conversations about what our mission is as a church, and how we carry it out. It means finding opportunities to listen to God and to pray together as a church. It means investing again in the leaders in our church, their spiritual growth and equipping for ministry. All of these areas are great for the members of St. Mark’s to pray about, and feel free to discuss with me or any of the staff if you have thoughts or insights about the future of our church. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead a church through an exciting season like this.
